ElectroQuest was enlisted to assist Entergy in protecting power plants from lightning damage and disruption.  Lightning induced surges on control equipment can cause damage resulting in million-dollar lost production while the problem is located and resolved.  Inexpensive lightning defenses can prevent these outages.

New Jersey Manufacturer's Insurance Company

ElectroQuest was chosen to provide expert forensic investigation and analysis to evaluate lightning damage claims for the New Jersey Manufacturer's Insurance Company.  These efforts included the evaluation of the mechanisms of indirect and direct lightning damage as well as using state-of-the-art lightning locating analysis in order to assist the company in making fair settlements to their customers.

When General Electric needed an independent evaluation of safety for their high voltage substation at the Schenectady, New York, plant ElectroQuest was chosen.  The review encompassed site safety procedures and reviewed the maintenance program from the aspect of worker safety.

ElectroQuest provided independent expert analysis of telephone company applications to install new cellular base stations and towers.  This effort included review of the electromagnetic safety data, cellular telephone traffic analysis and area coverage. We assisted the zoning board in making informed decisions regards antenna permitting considering electromagnetic safety, city architectural aesthetics and cellular telephone subscriber coverage/performance.

An electrical safety audit for iPR Pharmaceuticals (part of Astra Zeneca, PLC) keeps employees safe from electrical hazards and assesses the effectiveness of electrical safety programs.

Autovalet Systems

Autovalet, a leading international supplier of automatic locker machines, turned to Electroquest to resolve local regulatory problems for installation.  Electroquest preinspected the machine and successfully coordinated field evaluation bt Intertek/ETL Laboratories.  These efforts led to approval of local authorities for use of the machine, the first of this design in the United States.
